- Beautiful Perranporth Beach is just 10 miles away and is dog friendly all year.
- Try Stithians Lake for water sports. Just 15 minutes away by car.
- What wonderful, peaceful views of the countryside. Keep an eye for the resident fox who pads though the fields
- Horses are stabled on the land around Piglet, so you may wake up one morning to see them looking
- The owner, Tom, lives onsite, in the house on the left. He won't intrude but he's there if you need him, and is also a font of knowledge on local history.

- The entrance to Carnleigh, home to PigLet. There's a kissing gate directly behind us. That's the way up to Carn Marth itself, one of the highest points in Cornwall.
- On the way, you'll see holes in the quarry walls - made by the quarrymen testing new drill bits, and also teaching their apprentices how to drill! Once made, of course, they would have been filled with dynamite and used to blast the rock.
